The Senate will on Wednesday July 11, 2012 screen President Goodluck Jonathan’s nominee for Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Alooma Mukhtar.
She will be screened in plenary by the entire Senate and If she scales through, she will be the first female CJN.
Mukhtar was promoted to the Supreme Court in 2005 and is expected to replace Chief Justice Dahiru Musdapher, who will retire on Friday.
