At least 23 people were feared killed while 50 other were hospitalised when people suspected to be mercenaries stormed seven Berom villages of Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State in what an eyewitness described as a cordinated attack.
Eye witness reports that more than 23 people were left dead when Fulani mercenaries stormed six villages in Gashish district of the state in large number at about midnight and shot sporadically.
He said that so many people were injured in the process while some houses were burnt by the assailants.
