Nigeria first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has been awarded the Tourism Ambassador for Africa award from the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
The award was presented to her at the 53rd meeting of the UNWTO Commission for Africa on June 26th, 2012 in Calabar, Nigeria.
The first lady was given the award in ‘recognition of her monumental commitment and support for women in tourism’.
